Default XBS 3 Stars: Week 4

Week 4 is in the books and itís time for the 3 Stars of the Week!! Again there were a lot of offensive performances to acknowledge this week. There were 4 players with 19 points on the week, which is pretty impressive. Iím going to give one of the honorable mentions to a few of those guys. The Edmonton front-line combined for 55 points between Fwaming Dwagon, Mashotpa and Thamps. It was tough not to give one of them a star, but the fact that the guys grabbing the first two stars did it in 2 and 3 less games was the tie-breaker. The other honorable mention goes to Torontoís stable of backup goalies. Zer0 pain, Damon721 and Falc one3266 combined for 5 games in net with a GAA of 1.20 and a shutout. I heard Toronto were doing some experimenting this week and it appears it paid off. Well then, time for the 3-Stars so pitter patter letís get atíer!

larder97
Toronto Maple Leafs
[ Forward | 5gp | 11g | 8a | 19pts ] - [ Week Record | 5-0-0 ]

The first-star for the week goes to Larder97 of the Toronto Maple Leafs. In 5 games Larder tallied 19 points (T-1st) on 11 goals (2nd) and 8 assists (T-4th). He was +6 on the week and Toronto was undefeated in the 5 games he played. He also lead the league in face-off percentage at 71.6. His best night of the week came against New Jersey, where he had 9 points in the two wins. In his other games he was consistently contributing to the offense with multiple points in each game.

Nico 916 Suave
Pittsburgh Penguins
[ Forward | 6gp | 9g | 10a | 19pts ] --- [ Goalie | 2gp | 3.00gaa | .727% ] - [ Week Record | 4-2-2 ]

The second-star for the week goes to a long time veteran and owner of the Pittsburgh Penguins, Nico 916 Suave. Nico also put up 19 points (T-1st) on the week, but his other stats were just slightly behind Larder in every category and he did it in one extra game. His highlight performance was against Vegas on Thursday, where he had a hat trick in the second game and totaled 5 goals and 3 assists on the night. He also went 1-1 in net against the Devils, showing some versatility to fill in when needed.

Argie26
St. Louis Blues
[ Goalie | 4gp | 1.25gaa | .884% ] - [ Week Record | 3-1-0 ]

The third-star for the week goes to Argie26 of the St. Louis Blues. Argie played 4 games at goalie and only gave up 5 goals! His 1.25 GAA (2nd) and 0.884 save percentage (3rd) was impressive and St. Louis was 3-1 in the games he played. His best game was a shutout against Vegas on Monday night, where he stopped 12 shots to blank the Golden Nights in a 4-0 win. A solid performance for a forward/goalie that St. Louis brought in on a trade between the draft and the start of the season.
