Knowing the EA of today they'd probably make a robust, beloved baseball game within the first couple iterations then slowly tear it apart. Removing features that used to let you set hot dog prices and seat prices by section and replace it with a shortstop that can jump 20 feet in the air to snatch a sure extra base hit. Do I sound bitter?

And then they would add in a always online feature.

Rumor had it both Sony and Microsoft were looking into making it a native part of their next consoles. Since Sony did not do it I bet MS will follow suit. Until every person has access to Fios quality ISPs and companies have servers that have so many backups they can't possibly fail, DRM is a bad move. Since those scenarios will not fall in place in the near future, they should abandon it and find new ways to limit piracy.

I miss Links. All the other games were pretty much garbage, especially their baseball offering.

Microsoft at one point and time had the license for High Heat Baseball which used to be a really good game especially for PC. Was better then anything EA had for PC. Unfortunately MS never done anything with it.

No way. NHL Rivals holds a special place....that's where I met some of my longest serving xbl buddies. Plus, playing the pond hockey was a lot of fun.

Also, the Rallisport games were great too. XSN were the one's that started to whole league website support, which got me hooked on console sport gaming.

The idea of the pond hockey, playing 3 on 3 was awesome. It's the only mode in that game remotely playable because of the multiplayer aspect. I had a hand in creating ideas for the game, and I know others here probably did too. However, the game itself was still pretty terrible. Wonky controls and stiff animations plagued it. 2K blew this out of the water with their hockey offering as far as game play goes.
