Default Barry Bonds

The Aaron Hernandez thread is far too depressing. So I saw this on yahoo today and smiled. It really doesn't matter what you think of his steroid stuff.....( Personally I think he was the best player I have ever seen play this game ) but this story is a good one.

Barry is paying to put Bryan Stow's ( the man who was beaten into a coma at Dodger stadium ) children through college. Bravo Barry. What a gesture.

Good stuff. But then again, I've always liked Bonds. Screw the haters.

Wow, that's great... Those kids better not mess up, seriously how many get that opportunity. No student loans for life, better 4.0 their whole way

Great find rob, even If he was a steroid junkie in my mind at least 60% of baseball was under the influence in some way. This brings my respect for him up a couple notches for sure.

Yeah, that's great of him to do. Kudos Barry, you're a great guy! I have nothing against Bonds either because in reality, I think most of the players during his era were on "something" as well.

Another bonus is, if the kids end up playing sports, at least Barry can help them in other ways too (teach them how to cycle/stack properly)

Speaking of the best player (ever?)

We are watching one of the all time greats in our generation, like the Tigers or not what Miguel Cabrera is doing and has done is amazing. Simply amazing. His demeanor on and off the field is equal to a kid in a candy store, the DUI incident turned his life around.

Saw this posted on the 18th, which was his 31st birthday:

Numbers don't lie.
