UFC Going to a UFC/MMA Event? Post Here

I figured since we had a going to a hockey game thread, we should have one like this.

Ok so I'll start. I'm excited to say that my wife and I are off tomorrow on vacation for a week. We're going to San Francisco for 4 days and then Vegas for 5 days. It just so happens on the night we leave to fly home there is the Rampage vs Evans fight at the MGM. I went on ticketmaster and got a single ticket. I'm really stoked to be going to my first UFC event and be there in the hype. Once the fight is done, head the airport and fly back home.

Interesting part is that doors open at 4:15 and the event starts at 5. So I'm thinking the card is atleast 4 hours including non-aired matches.

Can't wait!!

Yeah, with all the matches (aired and non-aired), an entire event is usually between 4-5 hours long.

NICE!!! Go to fight, go directly to airport, leave wife behind in Vegas, priceless!

I've always wanted to go, but the two times the UFC came to Jersey, the dates didn't work. There is an MMA fight thing going on at Six Flags Great Adventure this year. I think the ticket price is only $20 more than entrance into the amusement park. They didn't say who was fighting, so I assume its a bunch of locals, but they did say they would have some famous guys there to meet and greet, like Kimbo Slice. I hope I can convince the wife to let me go, but I think it'll be pretty close to the delivery of the baby.

Nothing beats the UFC in Vegas, I've been to 2 events in Vegas though I was under 21 and had to get someone else to place bets for me at the book. The whole atmosphere all week in the major casinos is great. Go early and see all the fights, for some reason in Vegas no one ever goes to the undercard fights where as in the other cities the arenas are usually 75% full.

Had tickets to the UFC 115 show but the card they released made me want to strangle a small child so I sold them for a small profit.

A couple weeks back I went to Strikeforce: Heavy Artillery here in St. Louis and had a blast. I got to meet alot of the fighters I have a buddy who fights in Strikeforce I am not going to say his name after what he did in Nashville but he hooked me up with ringside seats and passes to the back. Allistair Overeem handled Brett Rodgers with ease. I was also hoping to see Arlovski return to form but that did not happen. Now I waiting to see when the UFC is going to come to the LOU. Dana White said it should be soon certainly hope so.

Dana White says a lot of things that are empty promises, like making up for that joke of an Anderson Silva fight recently.

I'm still cracking up about him telling Tito Ortiz that he picked all the winners from the fight-in round on TUF 11.
