Default Week 6 Power Rankings - Week 6 - The End is Near

Week 6 Record: (6-2-0) Season Record: (33-11-4)

These guys are just continuing to win and win and win, and now add to it they are Gooning it up and replacing Pittsburgh finally as the dirtiest team on ice. These guys are scoring goals, but the distribution is fairly even, VIBE Beats and silentmiller had 7 and 6 goals respectively but the other three forwards contributed 3, 5 and 4 goals each. On the defensive front Whiplash444 and nosice contributed 7 points and 6 points with defensive ratings of 88.3 and 93.3. Goal tending is once again proving a solid point with Krimsonfire and HABS combining for a 2.5 GAA and .871 save percentage.

Power Play: 12.5% (4)
Penalty Kill: 88.1% (2)
Hits: 195 (FIRST)
Penalty Minutes: 84 (LAST)
Goals for: 26 (2)
Goals against: 20 (3)
Longest Winning Streak: 5
Longest Losing Streak: 2
Best Win: Chicago 5-0 Wednesday 10:30
Worst Loss: Detroit 4-0 Tuesday 10:30

If I were on this team, I wouldn't want to make my living being the goon team of the week, I don't believe that is a path that will get you far, that being said, I'm going out on a limb right now and stating that the Las Vegan Golden Knights are my cup favorite.

Key Player: nosice - Defense - 6gp | 1g | 5a | 6pts
The defenseman put up a point per game average with 1 goal and 5 assists in 6 games played, but much more impressive was his team leading 93.3 defensive rating for the week.

Week 6 Record: (5-2-1) Season Record: (24-18-6)
Another team that needs a miracle to make the playoffs, sitting in 3rd in the Eastern Conference but First in the Western Conference, this team is going to have to go on a severe winning streak to have any chance of gaining a playoff spot. They come off a pretty solid week going 5-2-1 and a fine offensive performance from GetLowBanks with 10 goals and 10 assists with 20 points in 8 GP, but the only double digit player on the team. Plenty of middle of the road scoring, but it's gonna take more offensive help to get the job done. On defense, KT comes in with a 1 goal 4 assist performance in 6 games played and a 95.3 defensive rating.

Power Play: 17.4% (2)
Penalty Kill: 89.5% (FIRST)
Hits: 178 (2)
Penalty Minutes: 48 (2)
Goals for: 24 (3)
Goals against: 17 (FIRST)
Longest Winning Streak: 2
Longest Losing Streak: 2
Best Win: Chicago either win on Sunday
Worst Loss: Pittsburgh either loss on Monday

This is a team that may appear to be on a run, maybe, but in order to get a playoff spot they pretty much have to run the next two weeks, To do that, they are going to need more than one scorer to get it done, Right now GetLowBanksis the guy putting up the goals, can the rest of the league devise a way to shut him down, then there is Slick
slickeeeslick who is playing out of his mind.

Key Player: slickeeeslick - Goalie - 6gp | 1.50gaa | .895%
In 6 games this week, slickeeeslick posted a very impressive 1.50 goals against average and .895 save percentage. The biggest single factor in the Blues 5-2-1 week.

Week 6 Record: (5-3-0) Season Record: (33-10-5)
Once again the class of the league in offense, the Blackhawks poured in 29 goals on the week 3 better than their closest competition. Yet somehow with all this offensive output, they still managed to lose 3 games on the week. Offensively the team was led by Thinblue1291 who put in 14 goals and 9 assists, 23 points in 8 games while on the defensive side CULP3R led the defensive unit with 1 goal and 4 assists in 5 games with a 91.2 defensive rating. LayNher continues to be very steady in the pipes as again another solid performance going with a 2.63 goals against and .831 save percentage with one shutout,

Power Play: 16.2% (3)
Penalty Kill: 87.5% (3)
Hits: 147 (4)
Penalty Minutes: 76 (5)
Goals for: 29 (FIRST)
Goals Against: 21 (4)
Longest Winning Streak: 5
Longest Losing Streak: 2
Best Win: vs Las Vegas 6-1 on Wednesday 10:00
Worst Loss: vs St. Louis 5-2 on Sunday 10:00

The mighty Blackhawks, once the darlings of the league could do no wrong. They were dominating play and pretty much were dominating every single category. It's not as if they are not winning games, they are, but suddenly the air of invincibility has been somewhat diminished. Leading in the one category they have been consistently first or second in, it's the other categories that they are taking a drop in. Does that mean they will not be the Cup winners, not at all, no team can stay perfect the whole season, and many times it seems that two or three teams will have their small run. That is no different this year, the question becomes will they get it all back in time for the playoffs.

Key Player: baultista - Forward - 6gp | 6g | 11a | 17pts
For the second week in a row, baultista was the man on a mission for the Blackhawks. While he didn't have the most points for the week, he did have a 2.83 points per game in 6 games played and a very nice 54.2% Face Off winning percentage. With those factors alone he has proven his importance to the Blackhawks.

Week 6 Record: (4-4-0) Season Record: (20-26-2)

Coming in at #4 is the leader of the Western Division the Detroit Red Wings. The West has been sort of up in the air all season but as of late it seems the Red Wings are set to be the best in the West. With little time to go the Red Wings hold a 4 point lead and with the Maple Leafs and Penguins both struggling to get points, 4 points may very well seem like 14. The team was lead offensively this week by ChemicalDpendnt and Makakk88 two names who consistently lead the team with 14 and 10 points respectively. On the Defensive side, Rushpac came in with a solid offensive and defensive performance, having 1 goal and 3 assists with a 92.2 defensive rating, tops on the team. The Riddler3 continues to perform well in net this week putting up a 1.83 goals against and .851 save percentage with 1 shutout.

Power Play: 21.4% (FIRST)
Penalty Kill: 87.5% (3)
Hits: 135 (5)
Penalty Minutes: 53 (4)
Goals for: 19 (4)
Goals against 19 (2)
Longest Winning Streak: 2
Longest Losing Streak: 3
Best Win: 4-0 over the Vegas Golden Knights on Wednesday at 10:30
Worst Loss: None, they beat the team they should have and went 2-4 against the "better" teams.

If the Wings can just continue what they are doing for another week and a half, they are playoff bound. Having the best power play is something that will take the far, but if they wish to battle for a cup, they have to come up with something a little more. It will be honestly tough for any of the western teams to take on the eastern juggernaut but it's not impossible. They need to get a little stronger on offense or have a stifling defense if they wish to hoist the cup.

Key Player: Makakk88 - Forward - 4gp | 6g | 4a | 10pts
Makkak checks in with a 2.5 points per game average in 4 games played, by far the best point per game average on the team, and a 53.2% face off win percentage, which helped Detroit in their 4-4 week.

Week 6 Record: (2-4-0) Season Record: (15-28-3)
This team did the impossible. They are NOT the Goon Team of the week. If they could only have St Louis on their schedule for a full week, they may become the Western Champions, but since that isn't possible they need to improve in a few areas, such as getting wins where the other teams name is not the Blues. Offensively the team had only one double digit scorer, Nico 916 Suave but both FwamingDwagon12 and OldTimeHockey where able to put up 9 points each in 4 games.

Power Play: 7.1% (5)
Penalty Kill: 73.3% (LAST)
Hits: 150 (3)
Penalty Minutes: 40 (FIRST) ************* WTF ***************
Goals for: 18 (5)
Goals against: 26 (LAST)
Longest Winning Streak: 2
Longest Losing Streak: 2
Best Win: St Louis (3-1) or (5-4 OT)
Worst Loss: NONE

First in Penalty Minutes but dead last in Penalty Kill and Goals Against. Time is running out for the Penguins if they wish to make a playoff run. To do that, they MUST start beating their Western opponents each and every time. That is the only way this team makes it to the playoffs. Losing again to the Leafs or the Red Wings is a sure dagger to the heart of their playoff chase.

Key Player: Nico 916 Suave - Forward - 6gp | 7g | 7a | 14pts
Coming in with a 2.33 points per game in 6 games this week for the Penguins and the only double digit point man for the team.

Week 6 Record: (0-5-1) Season Record: (17-25-4)
Only playing 6 games this week, the Leafs definitely had a lack of offensive output in this weeks performance. In 6 games this week they put up 8 goals which is just a shade over a goal a game. They currently sit in a playoff spot, but if they want to keep it, they have to put some points on the board. The team was led in scoring by thebigschnoz and DustyRytStyk. On defense the top performer was ViolentMP who in 2 games played managed a 92.5 defensive rating and 1 assist.

Power Play: 4.8% (LAST)
Penalty Kill: 87.0% (5)
Hits: 102 (LAST)
Penalty Minutes: 49 (3)
Goals for (LAST)
Goals against: 21 (4)
Longest Win Streak: ??????? 0 ????????
Longest Losing Streak: 6
Best Win: Didn't have one.... a win that is...
Worst Loss; Didn't really have a bad loss, all the teams are higher seeded

This team was dead last in 3 categories, and this can't continue if they want to hold onto their playoff spot. The answer isn't just find more offense. This team needs to find offense, defense and goal tending right now. This is truly not the fault of one area, but of the team play. All of the guys on this team are capable players, but it's just not working right now. Can they fix it and make the playoff run?

Key Player: DustyRytStyk - Forward - 4gp | 2g | 3a | 5pts
DustyRytStyk was one of two players in 6 games to post 5 points on the week, but his 52.3 face off winning percentage gives him a slight edge.
