We're only getting them underway tonight, being that it's a best-of-7 series. There will be other nights for sure! That'd be sweet.

Pierre is a phenomenal player. Had my palms sweating from whistle-to-whistle, as he always does. Great games, Buddy.

A huge thank you, to everyone who participated. There's some creases to iron out, and ideas we'd like to put in place moving forward, but we truly appreciate the enthusiasm, competitiveness, and sportsmanship everyone showed throughout this tournament. Remember that this is the first of hopefully many, and we're aiming to improve upon the player experience each time.

And thank you, especially, to Kabbott, who really made this all possible behind the scenes, while controlling and updating the bracket.

Stay tuned for the next one...

Congratulations to you both on reaching the finals, and to Larry for winning it all. Also a big kudos for setting up this initial tournament, which seems to have run smoothly. Good work and sportsmanship by everyone involved!

Congrats guys!

Agreed with the others, thank you guys for putting this together. It was a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to the next one. When are sign ups?

Seriously though....I hadn't played a versus game since OTP started.....so that was what 2009?

And after playing primarily defense and goalie in OTP, I never really had to learn how to play forward, do dangles, dekes, stick movements, etc. But since I've been playing versus games for the past few weeks, it has forced me to learn how to and I'm much better in those areas and a better overall player now because of it......so again, thank you guys for getting me back into versus games, I had a lot of fun learning it all over again.

When I first played Makaak in the beginning, he pretty much owned me in our first couple games but since learning versus again, we've played a couple more times more recently and I can hang now, he still beat me, but only by 1 goal and they could have gone either way. I hope in the next tournament I can make it to at least the semi finals....or finals. Until then, I'll be practicing
