Default Kobe New Record

Well today at the 5:00 mark of the third quarter, Kobe Bryant surpassed Micheal Jordan for the all-time scoring lead in the NBA All-star game. Yes I know it is only the all-star game, but it's just another comparison of the two best players too ever play the game.

When his career is done (assuming he plays for a few more years), he will surpass MJ as the greatest player in NBA history. Only a bad injury can stop him (force retirement).

They played in different eras with a few different rules. What Kobe has done is as unbelievable as what MJ did in his time. Kobe has evolved from his ball hogging days into not only a superstar, but a leader on and off the court. I believe that once Kobe's career closes its' doors, he has to be in the same sentence as MJ as the best player to ever play the game. Congrats to Kobe.

MJ will always be Numero uno in my eyes. The shit he did to the knicks back in the day was ridiculous. Kobe is great but not better than MJ........ one on one MJ takes him!

Do teams play defense in the NBA any more?

They are not allowed to. The rules have been geared to make it almost impossible to play great defense. It seems any kind of contact from the defense is an automatic foul while on the offensive side you can just steam roll through the defense with no call.
