I'm no doctor but that sounds like rotator cuff or posterior delt in my opinion, when you say flys I get it. Also be sure to keep thumbs down or straight when doing them otherwise abduction/adduction will happen as well as a little forward/backwards momentum occurs this puts extreme stress on the rotator cuff. It sounds like an abduction muscle that's giving you pain most likely the supraspinatus.Honestly if it's still hurting after a full week off go in and get it checked out. It never hurts to have a professional take a look. The knee could just be inflammation or swelling and not taking extended time off, a tendon sprain which takes a long time to heal and could be tiny but would still hurt is a possibility.

I have been back at it for a while now. It took me a while to come up with a routine that works. As you might remember, I have a terrible knee from sports and a BAV (Bicuspid Aortic Valve) where there is a higher risk of Aortic Aneurysm with higher weight. Slow and steady is paying off. Building muscle back, losing inches but not weight. Feel a ton better.

I used to work out hardcore in earlier days and got really huge. My goal now is simply trim, harden and feel good.
