Default Make a trip to Niagra Falls

hello guys. Long time no see, not sure how active this forum still is but figured I'd ask here. The wife and I are planning a trip from Indiana to Niagara falls over 4th of July week. As of right now planning to go through Columbus, Oh to Buffalo, Ny then cross over to Canada. I know Pro Football Hall Of Fame is in Canton (which is a tad out of the way) and the Hockey Hall Of Fame looks to be about 2 hours from Niagara Falls. Was wondering if there was anything else etiher along the route or around Toronto/Buffalo that we must see. Or would you recommend we go up to Detriot and then cross over into Canada?

I dont recommend anyone go to Detroit, lol.

My wife and i had our honeymoon in Niagara. I recommend staying away from Fallsview Blvd to save money. We did the tourist pass to do literally everything Parks Niagara had to offer for about $100 each, and drove around the region to hit up all the museums and everything while we were at it. We had fun but checking out butterfly and flower conservatories isn't for everyone.

That said the boat ride is epic and i highly recommend the white water walk alongside the rapids.

Marineland was fun but honestly i have to imagine Seaworld is better for that kind of thing in Columbus.

Also, take ONE wine tour - not 4.

As someone who lives in Buffalo - spend more time in Canada than on the US side. There's not much to do here anymore. But there's a lot of neat places on the Canadian side known as Clifton Park.

WOW Muscley, I live right next to Detroit, it's not THAT bad. Plus the new Caesars Arena is pretty bad ass. And Greektown is nearby.

Ive been there once, and ive had a blood stained bat wielding psycho beating on the bus window once. That kind of thing sticks with you.

There’s a little town about an hour from Biafra falls called Biafra on the lake nice little town. Not to far from there Gretzky has his own distillery very cool and tons of vineyards if you are into that

Theres also a park restaurant we stumbled into near the Brock monument that was an absolute hidden gem. Its called Queenston Heights and the brunch we had was stellar and not horribly expensive. Pluswhen youre done you can learn the history of what happens when you invade Canada just across the path.

I was there in 2016, The Canadian side is really nice and the US side is kind of trashy and run down. I had a lot of fun though!

Thanks guys. I think we've changed our mind and decided to take the longer scenic route and enter Canada form Michigan and pretty much stay in Canada the whole time. Still gonna go visit Niagara but don't think we will cross back over. Gonna check out hockey hall of fame, as aside from that, really not sure yet.Trying to find a cabin on a lake to stay at, someplace between Michigan and Toronto.

You're going to cross right near me in Windsor it sounds like. I can see the Bridge from my house.
The Windsor riverfront has a nice walking trail facing Detroit with sculptures. The casino is right there too if they end their strike by the time you come lol
We have a lot of wine country around here if that's of any interest. Some craft Breweries. A few solid golf courses.
Point Pelee national Park, the southernmost part of Canada is in the vicinity.
