To spec0688 ($1.0 million)

Instant Analysis: Well DC wasted no time adding another piece to his already dangerous offensive arsenal by acquiring spec. He hasn't been with us since Season 14 but the Blues had no problem taking a chance on him and I can't blame them. In his last full season here as a member of the Chicago Blackhawks, he had 113 points (54g, 59a). In a career that has spanned 115 games, he has accumulated 443 points, has a record of 80 - 28 -7, and has a list of hardware that is off the charts. In his rookie season (Season 10), he won the Calder, Rocket Richard, Art Ross, and Hart trophies and he capped it all off with a Stanley Cup and All-Star selection in that same season. He was also named an All-Star in season 12 as a San Jose Shark. Considering the amount of time spec has taken off, it's a huge risk here for DC, but the potential for a great reward is certainly there, and I expect spec to continue where he finished off.

To M00SE21 ($1.0 million)

Instant Analysis: M00SE may not be familiar to many of you here at XBS, but make no mistake, he is no rookie. He has been playing the NHL series for about 50 years now (even being the founder of one of the first EASHL teams, Air Force One) and finally decided to come join us here at XBS. It was obvious that No Regretzky's was looking to bolster his struggling back end and considering that M00SE signed up for a full time D spot, this was a no brainer. Once M00SE adjusts to the play style and opponents here at XBS I expect him to be a steady force as part of the Bolts defensive unit.

Transaction Date: Dec. 1st 2016, 3:39 pm
To BassinStL ($1.0 million)

Instant Analysis: Bassin first joined XBS back in Season 15 where Bong and the Kings took a chance on him as a rookie to lead the way in the pipes. And while it wasn't his best season, it was only a small glimpse of what was to come in the following season. As a Nashville Predator in Season 16, Bassin was lights out as their starting goaltender posting a 28 - 10 - 6 record, with a GAA of 2.99, and 3 shutouts. He also was named an All-Star in that same season. It's no doubt that KT has been looking for a true #1 goaltender since draft day, and in Bassin he may just have found the spark needed to get the Canucks headed in the right direction.
