Fifteen days ago on July 1st, we reported that Firefox had submitted their Firefox Home application to the App Store. Today, Apple has approved the application and it's now available free of charge for the iPhone. The application requires a Firefox sync account, and when you're all setup, you'll get your Firefox history, bookmarks, and the tabs you left open on your computer ready to use on your iOS device.

not bad turn around time for an app being submitted to being released

Downloaded it and gave it a try, honestly not too impressed. It still wants to bring up mobile sites and not the full version. That's one of the few things that leaves me shaking my head about the iPhone, I even had a app for the Samsung Eternity that'd bring up the full html versions of sites. It's kinda cool to jump from the tabs on pc to those on your iPhone but don't see it as a huge advancement over the default Safari browser.

Is there a good internet browser app? Or is this and safari about the best out there?

have you tried Opera?

I was exited at first but did some reading and don't like the way it operates, I am happy with Safari... syncs all my bookmarks and performs great

Nope. Serached the app store for internet browser and didn't bring up much, so didn't even know anything about Opera. Will give it a shot tonight. Safari's not bad and it normally loads full html sites, for some reason it brings up the mobile version first.

there are others, some you have to pay for... why pay for a browser if it is not hands down superior to what you already have for free?
