I figured it might be cool to have a showroom for *OUR* cars (I say ours because if we start posting other people's, we'll just be embarrassed). While I know I can't make some of these awesome cars that I'm already seeing, I'm just as impressed with what the everyday person can come up with.

*Please note that forzamotorsport.net will only allow 18 pictures. Also, you can NOT link to the image directly. For those reasons, I recommend downloading it and hosting it yourself and posting the image link here.

Also, multiple angles are preferred.

I figured I'd start us off really slow. This one is aptly named "Achievement" ;) I just wanted to go in and look at the tools and see how much has changed. Then I wanted to see how the site worked with uploading photos.

 That is too funny juji. Love how he is eating the Honda symbol.

I have only made one so far. I made it for use in multiplayer online games. I want to use it first in the game before unveiling it though so I will post it in a day or two.

Haven't had much time but have worked on a few logos. Working on a Jorge Lorenzo (MotoGP) #99 replica font. Plan on attempting the XBS Logo sometime soon. I never have been much of a paint designer but always like trying to do logos. OF course as easy as they are to get now on the Storefront, it's almost not even worth it. LOL

Here is my newest creation. I think the back is still a little bare but overall the car is around 90% complete. I designed the Adobe logo (and uploaded it to the storefront). No real reason I used Adobe, just picked a random company really.

I also made the license plate which is what our custom plates look like here in British Columbia.

This is my primary class E car. I am most likely going to do one or two for each class.

Nice Juji... definitely good for a first design, especially since I have erased my first design about 5 times not.

Pix, I hate you (it looks awesome).

 I laugh everytime I see mine. It's about 7 layers or so :P I keep wanting to make a real one but am coming up blank with the ideas :( I've even been thinking about recreating some of the cars I made with the first two Forzas.

pixel, very cool. I love the hood of the car.

*EDIT* I forgot to say that the "smile" on my car was on accident. I started drawing teeth and then realized I couldn't paint that gap. Then I realized it was a perfect smile so it was actually easier. So I rolled with it.

I don't know how you guys do it. I'm so bad at it. I start and then just quit. I don't get the layer concept. Any tips or guides would be greatly appreciated.

The higher the layer number, the closer it is to you. If you need something behind something, press X to cut it and insert it at a lower layer.

The best way to describe it is using animation cels. Say you're making a cartoon with a turtle walking though a forest. Obviously the farthest back (ie, lower layer) would be the trees. Then, you'd have the turtle on a higher level and thus IN FRONT of the trees (trees in the background.

Another way to put it is this. You have a Red Square and a Blue circle the same exact size.

If the Red Circle is on Layer 1, and the blue circle is on Layer 2. You'll see the Blue Circle "inside" of the Red Square.

If the Blue Circle is on Layer 1 and the Red Square is on Layer 2. All you'll see is the Red Square.

That might be confusing but it's the best way I can think of to describe it. Basically, what ever you want in front/Top, you put in a higher layer.

Another example would be my stupid skull up top. All of those pieces are white except the nose holes and the red eyes. If you were looking it as layers, it would be like this:

1. Red Eyes 2. White Skull 3. Black nose holes

So for the nose holes to be seen, I need to put them on top of the skull (or in front). The red eye circles are actually bigger than the eye sockets. But I put them in a lower layer (ie behind the skull) so the skull layer hides some of the red.

I could use images but it's too much work :p

This for Photoshop but the same concept applies to Forza:

This thread has a lot of good info:

I have a similar problem, I decided to just start very simple and learn more and more as I design new things.

I went to the archives for this one. In the first Forza there were doubts that people could actually make stuff just by using shapes. So I picked one and tried to copy it. It ended up being one of my favorites. So since I couldn't think of anything, I thought I'd just redo it in Forza 3.

There are a few mistakes and some things I don't like, but it's good enough. I MIGHT fix one of the things (his right shoulder being squared off, I need to adjust it). I ABSOLUTELY hate his pointing hand. But that's where skill/patience are needed and I didn't have either. Also, his collar isn't exactly right but I chose to go wrong in order to keep some detail. The "bat wings" should be attached to the head/body but I have them separated. Might fix it sometime if I can get it to look right. I chose to move on for now though.

I also wish I would've tinted the windows to be black. I intended to but forgot since this was a 2-day project. 3 hours last night, about 2 tonight. Sadly, the three hours was just the hood. The roof and the extras only took me two hours.

*NOTE* On the side view it's not all lighting. I actually added some misty looking clouds ;)

Thanks guys. It's fairly decent...but after 5 or so hours of "playing" the game, I'm still a level 3 or so

If I purchased Forza, I'd probably waste all my time on paint jobs. I suck at sim-racing games...so I'm not sure I'd enjoy the title much.
